CS8812 Pixel Protocol

A DC12V, individually addressable RGB LED protocol with a built-in IC and constant current driver, designed for high brightness and robust signal transmission.

Overview

CS8812 LEDs operate at 12V and integrate the controller with the SMD5050 RGB LED. They use a dual-signal, single-wire protocol similar to WS2815, supporting break-point continuous transmission-if one pixel fails, the rest continue to work. Each LED processes 24-bit RGB data, features 256 grayscale levels, and supports up to 800 kbps data rates, making them suitable for large installations with long runs and minimal voltage drop.
