ELM (ENTTEC LED MAPPER) 2026
ELM (ENTTEC LED Mapper) is pixel mapping software that turns any LED install into one show you control. Map thousands of pixels in 2D or 3D and drive them live with video, generative effects and any lighting console.
ELM (ENTTEC LED Mapper) is pixel mapping software that turns any LED install into one show you control. Map thousands of pixels in 2D or 3D and drive them live with video, generative effects and any lighting console. ELM 2026 drives up to 32,768 universes per protocol over Art-Net, sACN and KiNET, free to start, with perpetual licenses.
ELM turns thousands of LEDs, any strip, dot or fixture, into one surface you can map in 2D or 3D and drive with live video, generative effects and audio-reactive shows, from a nightclub wall to a city-scale media façade.
01 Map
Map your rig
Tell ELM where every LED physically sits: lay out strips, dots and fixtures with fast vector tools, in 2D or true 3D. No CAD experience needed.

02 Design
Design what plays
Play video, generated effects (“shaders”) or a live camera feed across that mapped shape. Composite and tune the layers live until it looks exactly right.

03 Send
Send it to the lights
Stream the right colour to every pixel over Art-Net, sACN and KiNet, spread across multiple NICs, so even city-scale rigs stay perfectly in sync.

New to mapping? ELM is built to be learned quickly, with online tutorials and a demo project to start from. You don’t need to be a 3D CAD engineer.
Shows that move with the music.
ELM’s audio-reactive Eye Candy effects lock your rig to a live audio feed, so clubs, gigs and events stay in time with the room, reacting beat to beat.
ELM runs on Windows, but you can drive it live from iOS and iPadOS, where a built-in remote API lets apps like TouchOSC recall states or run a full control surface.
01 · WORKFLOWLayer effects live.Composite effects live in the perform view. Stack layers with plain-language blend modes and per-layer opacity, mask, solo and reorder on the fly, then save a whole stack as new, reusable media in one click. No more wiring up and merging separate stages.Add / Multiply / ScreenMask · solo · reorderSave stack as media
02 · OUTPUT & SCALEDrive far bigger shows. The arbitrary universe wall is gone. Scale toward architainment-class pixel counts, up to 32,768 universes per protocol, and send output across several network cards (with node auto-numbering) so a single port never chokes your pixel count.8,192 → 32,768 universesMulti-NIC outputArt-Net · sACN · KiNet
03 · CAPABILITYSize your rig against reality.A built-in benchmark tests your actual network, CPU and graphics card and tells you how many universes your rig can truly sustain, at your chosen target frame rate. Size a show against what the hardware can do, not a guess.Network + CPU + GPU testSelectable target FPSReal capacity headroom
04 · EFFECTS & SHADERSA bigger, smarter effects engine.A much larger library, always present. 130+ GPU shader effects ported from EMU are baked into the app, with no loose files to lose. Tune them live with typed ISF parameters, colour pickers, an XY pad, sliders and triggers, that now save with your project.130+ GPU shaders (from EMU)Baked in, no loose filesLive-editable (ISF)Building Blocks / Generators
05 · TRUE 3DMap your rig as a real volume.A top-level 3D workspace to build, wire, test and visualise. The built-in presets cover the regular shapes, and real rigs are rarely one of them, so ELM 2026 builds any geometry at all from a plain CSV: one row per LED with its position and its patch. Describe your rig to ChatGPT, Claude or any AI assistant and have it write the file, and ELM checks every row before it builds anything.Starter shapes to download and importConeArchRingFestoonHow to write a CSV for your own rig →
06 · AUDIOLock the show to the beat.Point ELM at any sound, a mic, a line-in or your computer’s own output, and it finds the BPM and beat in real time, then drives every tempo-synced effect from that one beat. No MIDI clock, no DJ software, no extra hardware. It listens across six frequency bands and holds a phase-locked beat straight through drops and breakdowns.Real-time BPM detectionMic · line-in · loopbackDrives the master tempo
Sentry
Know the moment a light goes dark.
On a facade, a bridge or a citywide scheme, fixtures fail quietly in the hardest places to reach. Sentry watches every one over RDM around the clock and alerts your team in-app, by email or SMS the moment something drifts out of range, while it's still a heads-up and not a dark pixel on a landmark.
Sentry is included with the ELM Architectural plan.

And see exactly why.
An alert is only useful if you can trust it and act on it. Sentry shows its working.
Catch it before it fails
Per-fixture temperature, voltage and current, charted over time against each fixture's own normal band, so you see a thermal climb building long before it turns into a dark pixel.

Pinpoint the fault fast
Group the whole site by gateway, model or custom zone ("North Facade", "Bridge Span"). Each gateway shows its RDM response time and a health dot, so Sentry can flag when it is the problem, not ELM.

Alerts you can trust
Debounce and cooldown mean one clear alert per real problem, not a pager storm, plus a recovery notice when it clears. Faults reach an off-site crew by email or SMS, so nobody watches a screen.

Never touches your show
Deep RDM sweeps run only while the rig is dark and stand down the instant content plays, so Sentry guards an unmanned, city-scale site without ever risking a single frame of live output.

Any shape you can describe
Import a CSV, one row per LED with its position and its patch, and ELM builds any geometry you like, not just the presets. Save the built-in template, describe your rig to ChatGPT, Claude or any AI assistant, and the file comes back. If ELM flags an error, copy the report, paste it back and import the fix.
An ELM server orchestrates 330+ DMX universes, synchronising lighting across the entire water park.
