THE INFINITY EFFECT: A Closer Look at Disco Lines’ Red Rocks DJ Booth
For Disco Lines’ recent performance at Red Rocks, the team at Dark Moon Designs delivered a custom-built DJ booth that became a standout visual element of the night.
Built from a large aluminum frame, the booth was wrapped in window-tinted acrylic panels across all sides. From the outside, it appeared opaque—but that illusion disappeared the moment the internal lighting turned on.

Hidden behind the tinted exterior, the inside of the table featured a mirror surface with LED puck lights arranged in a grid.
When lit from within, the light bounced back on itself—creating a deep, layered reflection that produced the infinity effect.
“Infinity mirrors are a tried and true visual effect, but it was very exciting to design and build something that we personally haven’t seen before.” — Natalia, Dark Moon Designs
Dark Moon Designs relied on our ENTTEC Octo controllers to manage the booth’s internal lighting.
These compact DMX-over-Ethernet devices are built for performance and consistency—perfect for a setup where timing is everything.
The Octos made it easy to trigger and sync lighting cues with the music, helping the booth feel like a living part of the show.
The result was a clean, clever blend of structure and lighting that added a new level of depth—both visually and creatively—to the show.
It wasn’t just a piece of stage design; it was an experience that evolved in real time with the music.
Big thanks to Disco Lines for an unforgettable set, to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for hosting such a stunning night of music and design—and to the incredibly talented team at Dark Moon Designs for bringing this vision to life.
